TechByNimbus is the engineering team behind Timehop and AdsByNimbus.

We’re a small team that solves big challenges. We’re also a team that’s constantly expanding our skill sets by working on two products at the same time: one that’s used by millions of people every day, and another that’s disrupting the in-app mobile ad landscape.

Before Nimbus was born, our sole focus was Timehop, where our philosophy has always been to keep our product free and our users’ data private. We never have, and never will, sell user data — we are not a data company. To maintain these principles we began exploring ways to introduce unobtrusive ads that didn’t detract from user experience. After experimenting with options on the market, we weren’t able to find a solution that met our requirements — so we built our own.

Without increasing the size of our team, or taking on any more VC (we haven’t since 2014, and don’t plan to) we built AdsByNimbus to maximize Timehop’s ad revenue while keeping it true to the millions of users who use it everyday. It worked — we increased Timehop’s daily revenue by 1,200%.

Now, as a profitable company with our destiny in our own hands, we’re scaling Nimbus into a platform for third-party mobile app publishers who are looking for transparent adtech that prioritizes them.
